Rides to Vote

CoGo Bike Share Offering Free Passes, and Lyft Discounts Rides

With past elections, people have cited transportation as one of the top reasons why they didn't vote (ex.). This Election Day, November 5th, Lyft and CoGo Bike Share will join forces to help eliminate transportation as a barrier and make it easy for Columbus residents to get to the polls.

“At Lyft, we’re working to improve lives by connecting people and their communities through the world’s best transportation,” said Demetrius Thomas, Lyft Columbus General Manager. “This Election Day, we want to help make it easier for people in Columbus to exercise their right to vote. Every voice is important, and we’re excited to help make them heard in this year’s elections.”

Lyft is committed to providing 50% off rides to polling locations in Columbus. Voters can receive up to $5 off by entering the promo code VOTECBUS2019 into the rideshare app on November 5th.

CoGo Bike Share, operated by Lyft, will offer free 24-hour Day Passes this Election Day. Riders can redeem their free day pass at any CoGo station kiosk, or by downloading the Transit app and entering the promo code 110519, providing 24 hours of unlimited 30-minute rides on CoGo Bike Share bikes.
