Meet the CoGo Team

Chet Ridenour | Market Manager - Have you ever wondered who is behind the scenes at CoGo Bike Share? Get to know us with some quirky questions. We may be small, but we are mighty!

What are your goals as the Market Manager?

I will be focusing on working with our city and business partners to improve the social and economic mobility for residents and visitors by providing Columbus with the best transportation options.

What do you like most about CoGo?

I love the reliability of knowing exactly where bikes will be at the docking stations. In the winter it’s great to be able to ride to work without putting the wear and tear of salt on my own bike. Our CoGo bikes are built solid and can go pretty fast, which gives me more confidence that I can get around town in a timely manner.

What did you do before working for CoGo?

I was also in the mobility space as the General Manager of car2go here in Columbus.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I love connecting with my neighbors. My neighbors and I organize casual, social mixers every month to bring residents on a shared block together to better get to know each other.

What kind of personal bike do you ride?

I have a classic road bike (a Raleigh Capri).

What is your favorite hangout spot in Columbus?

Byrne’s Pub is my favorite place to hang out. It’s like Cheers whenever I walk in, as the bar staff and owners know my name, so it always feels like coming home.

Best place to grab a bite to eat in Columbus?

Mikey’s Late Night Slice is my jam. The pizza is on-point, the sauce is saucy, and the atmosphere is great for catching up with friends.

What skill do you wish you had?

A singer’s voice. My dad used to wish he could sing, now he wishes I could.

What 3 things can you not live without?

Realistically, I’d really just need a bike, a water bottle and an endless supply of Clif bars.

What would make the world a better place?

Enticing more people to give up their personal vehicles and demand better transportation options from the public and private sector.

What is your favorite dessert?

Graeter’s Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Where would you camp out during a zombie apocalypse?

Hocking Hills would be a pretty nice place to set up camp for awhile.
